Perthshire Rescue Dog Classes Coming Soon!
Our Perthshire Rescue Dog Classes are designed specifically to help dogs who have experienced trauma, neglect, or uncertain pasts. These classes provide a safe, supportive environment where you can build a deep bond with your dog while helping them heal, trust, and learn positive behaviours. As someone who also has 3 rescue dogs, all with very different backgrounds, I teach from a place of understanding and compassion whilst understanding the time and pace your dogs will learn at.
In these classes, we’ll focus on:
- Building Trust: Helping your dog feel secure and comfortable in their new home.
- Creating a Strong Bond: Strengthening the connection between you and your dog through positive, trusting interactions.
- Positive Reinforcement: Using rewards to motivate and encourage good behavior without fear or pressure.
- Reducing Anxiety and Stress: Teaching techniques to help your dog feel more confident and less overwhelmed in their new home.
- Socialization: Introducing your dog to new people, dogs, and environments at a pace that works for them.
- Handling Behavioral Challenges: Addressing issues like fear, reactivity, and insecurities in a kind and effective way. Problem solving as we go.
- Creating a Sense of Community: Connecting with other dog owners who understand the unique journey of adopting a rescue, sharing experiences, support, and encouragement in a welcoming, non-judgmental space.
As a CBATI-KA certified trainer and Trauma Certified professional, I specialize in working with dogs who have experienced trauma, using science-based, compassionate methods that prioritize emotional healing and long-term success.
